Shine Books shortlisted in National Awards

Shine Books, based in Edinburgh, have just found out that they are a Finalist in the prestigious The Family Network Recognition National Business Awards in the Business Mum of the Year category.

Shine Books were founded by Jo North, a teacher and mum of 2, to raise awareness for a range of conditions (such as ADHD, dyspraxia and Tourette's) for children through enjoyable stories. Shine Books are passionate about taking away the stigma that often comes with them, and believe that educating children from a young age in this area can have a positive impact on acceptance and understanding across society.

The Family Network has over ten branches in the UK and supports mums, dads and families in business with FREE networking events and affordable workshops. They provide online and offline support and they do not charge membership fees which means people can attend when they want. This is the 7th year they have hosted their National Business Awards to recognise the hard working familIes across the UK.

The winners will be announced at a glittering Awards night on March 11th at The Reigate Manor Surrey,

The Family Network will also be raising funds for Sofia- pregnancy loss and support in the run up to the event and with a raffle on the night.

Jo North quotes “I am so proud and honoured to have been announced a Finalist. To me what I do is very rewarding anyway, but to be recognised for that is amazing”
